Arc en Ciel help

Publishing quality checklist

A quick pre-flight pass for creators before a model, image, video, or article goes public.

Before you start

  • A draft upload, model version, media post, or article that is almost ready to publish.

Quick answer

  • Before publishing, check title, rating, tags, preview, description, source/model context, and whether the page makes sense to a stranger.
  • Open the page like a downloader or viewer would. If they would need to ask you basic questions, add the answer now.
  • Fix private data before release: emails, tokens, local file paths, Discord-only context, and unredacted screenshots do not belong in public posts.

First pass: can a stranger understand it?

A good release answers the obvious questions without making the viewer dig through comments. What is it? Who is it for? What base model or workflow does it expect? What changed? What should people avoid?

Arc en Ciel create model draft dialog with title, type, description, tags, and author wishes.
Create model draft dialog - The model draft dialog starts the public model page before a downloadable version is attached.
Arc en Ciel image upload dialog with title, description, crosspost, edit metadata, and file selection controls.
Metadata starts in the create/upload dialog - Title, description, rating, tags, and preview choices are not decoration; they decide whether the release is understandable and discoverable.

Universal pre-publish checks

  • Title is clear without private context - Avoid temporary names like test, final-final, upload2, or only a filename.
  • Description says what the item is for - One direct paragraph beats a long vague intro.
  • Rating matches the visible content - Rate what people can see, not what the prompt intended.
  • Tags help discovery - Use a few strong tags and remove filler.
  • Preview is representative - Show normal expected output, not only the luckiest result.
  • No private data is visible - Crop screenshots and remove tokens, emails, private messages, and local paths.
Extra checks by content type
Type Extra check Why it matters
Model/version Base model, trigger words, version notes, file source, hashes, license/source context. Downloaders need compatibility and safety context before touching the file.
Image Prompt/workflow context, model reference, rating, and whether metadata is intentionally visible. Images often teach by example; missing context limits usefulness.
Video Thumbnail, duration expectation, rating, and playback quality. Viewers decide quickly whether a video is worth opening.
Article Headings, summary, links, thumbnail, and stale external references. Readers scan first. Structure matters more than length.

Write release notes people can act on

  1. Lead with the practical change: new model, fixed version, new workflow, guide, sample set, or announcement.
  2. Mention compatibility or requirements before examples.
  3. Add known limitations honestly. This prevents repeated comments later.
  4. Link related Arc pages instead of asking readers to search manually.
  5. After publishing, open the public page and fix obvious missing fields right away.

Quality problems after publishing

People keep asking how to use it

Likely cause: The title, description, trigger words, or base-model context is missing.

Fix: Edit the description and version notes instead of answering the same comment repeatedly.

The post appears in the wrong searches

Likely cause: Tags or rating are too broad, too narrow, or simply wrong.

Fix: Edit tags and rating, then wait for search/browse state to refresh.

A screenshot exposed private data

Likely cause: The image was uploaded without redaction.

Fix: Remove or replace the media and rotate any exposed key or token immediately.
